Does it always feel this sad to finish a story or am I just suffering some sort of post finale malaise?  Finally put MM to bed, and now there's a hole where there used to be a story ... will have to fill it with something, just not yet.

Wendy Matthews is making me cry, but that's okay.

Have developed a fangirl crush on adangeli's fanfic.  Her writing's too close to the bone ... it hurts.  Ha, just made a funny.

Don't be lonely! Savor the feeling of accomplishment of finishing MM. There will be more fic. Fic I'm really looking forward to, just so you know. And not *just* for the smut.

Ahhh, to smut or not to smut, whether tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous ... er ... smut!

Definitely had an attack of the blues! Note to self: Go to bed before midnight when feeling a little gremlin-y!

Love the Tower of Wings = Beacon of Hope. Must get on to that dissertation I promised you ... ;D

Oh yeah... what you are feeling is totally normal. When you spend a lot of time on a story, spend weeks or even months immersed in it, it's normal to be a bit sad when it's done. I'm very familiar with the feeling...

Hey there LSQ - lovely to see you! Still finding my feet on LJ and haven't been on for a while.

Thanks for the wise words ... was definitely feeling low. I've done a rough plan for the next one, but just can't give my heart to it yet - LOL! I'm shovelling a bit of fluff to clear my mind, that might help?!

I think I don't have it as bad now because my big stories are all in one of two continual arcs, so the story isn't really over. The one time that I really felt this way was when 'Stalemate' was over, because as the time I had no intention of continuing the arc so I really did think it was over. But that didn't last long and 'Atonement' was born later on...

Whatever works, right? Don't worry, you'll get there...
